In October I posted about a fantastic proudly South African skin care range called Dermasure. I have been using Dermasure products for years, and only realized that they have an anti-ageing range when I did some research for my post.
The kind folk from Dermasure sent me the entire Zone range to try.
Have a look at my original post HERE to read a bit more about the science behind Dermasure and Zone.
I have been using the range for two months and I feel confident that I can now give an honest review.
The cleansing gel is very similar to the Dermasure face wash that I’ve been using for a couple of years. It’s a foam cleanser that gentle cleanses your skin and removes all traces of make-up. You get a lot of cleanser for R80. I love it.
The day and night creams are both very hydrating, but does not leave my skin greasy. My skin feels nourished after I apply these.
The main active ingredient in these creams is the Co-Enzyme Q10.
“Co-Enzyme Q10 (Co-Q10) is a bright yellow substance. Therefore, all creams and lotions containing approved levels of Co-Q10, will be a shade of yellow, depending on the concentration.”
Have a look at the swatches of the day and night cream:
The Co-Q10 and the concentrations there of in these creams must be working for me as I have noticed that my ‘number 11’ doesn’t look as harsh anymore! That makes me smile. FYI: 11 = those nasty lines between your brows.
My skin also seems to be brighter and more even toned.
I can’t honestly say that I have seen that much of an improvement from the eye gel, BUT in the same breath… I haven’t used it every day as I should. And, oh my word, I need to. Now that I’ve said it out load, maybe I’ll start using it correctly. What I do love about the eye gel is that it absorbs quickly, doesn’t make my eyes feel heavy and you only need to use a tiny amount.
The day cream goes for R280, the night cream R307 and the eye gel R195. The Zone range is only available from selected salons. Check out www.dermasure.co.za for more info or mail them at dermasure@wol.co.za.
Zone gets two thumbs up from me.
xoxo
