Environ Cleansing System - Guest post

I have been very keen to try a pre-cleanser as I’ve heard a lot of great skincare lines have these. I just haven’t had the chance to try one yet. My beautiful friend, Hester, told me that she started using Environ’s pre-cleanser together with a mask. She was kind enough to write this post for me. Now I’m really keen to try J

Hester: 'I have no idea how to do a product review, especially on beauty products, but here goes.

About two years ago I wanted to move away from the products I was using and, as you well know, there are hundreds of skin products on the market.  Finding the right one can take time and cost a lot of money.  Luckily a friend recommended Environ to me.   She knows a lot more about the products, the ingredients, the effects and so on.  As far as I’m concerned, BHT stands for Brazilian Hamster Testicle, so I decided to rather trust the experts!

Obviously I’m not an expert on beauty products, beauty trends or even beauty regimes for that matter.  My beauty “regime”?  I remove my make-up, wash my face and moisturise.  That’s about as far as it goes.  Don’t give me extra lotions and creams, because I will forget to use them and will therefore not feel the full effect of the product.  Or so I thought.

I am very happy with Environ.  Their prices are reasonable, their packaging is simple yet effective and the smell is quite neutral.  I am very happy with the face wash and moisturiser, but I felt that I needed something extra.  Something to get rid of the dead skin and to give my face a proper clean.  I am strangely claustrophobic when it comes to putting products on my face, so the thought of a thick mud-like mask freaks me out a little.  The ladies at Environ suggested I use the Environ Pre-cleanser and Balancing Masque from their original range.  They even wrote instructions down for me.

Environ pre-cleanser
A gentle Pre-Cleanser that helps soften excess oils and assists in removing environmental pollutants from the skin. Pre-Cleanser also assists in decongesting problematic skins

Environ balancing masque
Environ’s Original Balancing Masque is a masque specifically designed to improve hydration and simultaneously remove excess oils from the surface of the skin

I was quite excited about my new products.  That night I read the instructions again and opened the pre-cleanse bottle first.  As I put some in my hand, I noticed it was oil.  Oil to clean my face?  What sorcery is this?  But I trust the experts and proceeded to rub the oil all over my face, followed by rubbing the balancing mask, which is a cream, over it.  Right, so oil and cream is going to clean my face.  Trust the experts!  After a few minutes in the shower, I rinsed the oil and cream off and then washed my face.  After I dried my face, I applied my moisturiser as usual, but could not see or feel an immediate difference to my skin.  I suppose it takes a while to see and feel the full effects.  I must say that when I use these products, my skin doesn’t feel as dry as Steve Carell’s sense of humour and I do not feel as though I need to reach for my moisturiser immediately.

I have been using the pre-cleanse and balancing cream every second or third day for about two months now and my skin feels wonderful.  I have no spots and no oily or dry patches.   I do not feel smothered when I apply the oil, so maybe that is why I finally have a “regime” I can stick to.'

Have you tried these products from Environ? What do you think?

Thanks Hester for the great review!

xoxo

PS BHT… Bwah-ha-ha!!!
