It feels as though yesterday was the crappiest Vday in the history of mankind! All the terrible things happening around me… it was just a sad day.
The whole Oscar Pistorius story really got to me. What a terrible tragedy. My heart goes out to Reeva’s family and friends. And to those who think it’s okay to make jokes… a woman passed away! Have some respect!
A friend also told me that a couple I know split up about a week ago. They have a little girl about Cara’s age. It was another friend’s wedding anniversary yesterday… divorce proceedings started in Jan. Her husband was abusive. WTF?
On a good note: I got the most beautiful Vday card from Cara!! That made it all better.
I thank God for my husband, my daughter, my family and my friends! I have so much love in my life and for that I will be forever thankful.

The Reeva and Oscar case is absolutely terrible. How sweet of your daughter to make you a card. Letters and cards from small children are always adorable.
